Europe’s biggest and mightiest bastion of nature, the Carpathian Mountains, gains new life. Vasile, the shepherd, sets out on a peregrination through the forests of Count Dracula. His path leads him across marvellously beautiful cultural landscapes, recalling the beginning of the last century, shaped by their struggle against nature and by ancient myths and customs. Then he meets Delia, a modern girl with a longing for the old life. Eight months later, Vasile’s and Delia’s winter wedding closes the wheel of the year.
